Spring Fling Success

The Spring Fling was a so much fun on Saturday! My sister sat out there with me all day, thank you sis!
Here is what my booth looked like. It was a little windy and hard to keep stuff from flying away.

The weather was hot, and I got a little sunburned (only on my left side) but it was well worth it.

Spring Fling

The Spring Fling Outdoor Market is tomorrow! I'll be taking pictures of the day and will post shortly after the event. (By shortly after I mean within the week).

2 more days!

Only 2 days left until the Spring Fling! I think I have everything in order (except for 1 blanket I'm finishing this afternoon).

Here is the display I made for my hair clips. I have a ton more than this, but the display can only hold 16 at a time.

1 week

Only 1 week to go until the Spring Fling Outdoor Market! I'm super excited, but anxious and nervous as well. Regardless of the outcome of the day, I know it's going to be fun. There are so many great vendors that will be showcasing their items, I'm going to have a hard time not spending all my money on other poeple's stuff! My younger sister is attending the market with me to keep me company and help out with my booth. (calling it a booth makes it sound like I'm working a carnival but that's the only word that comes to mind)
I just hope I have enough items so that my table doesn't look skimpy, or unprofessional.
No photos today. It's actually the middle of the night and for whatever reason I'm wide awake again so I figured why not blog! If you're looking for photos, check out some of the recently highlighted vendors from the Food For Thought website that will also be attending the Spring Fling.

productivity

The last several days I have been able to accomplish quite a bit. Thankfully my children are mostly well behaved. While If the baby naps in the morning the older boys play really well together allowing me to sit down and work in my office. I don't like to go in and shut the door because it makes it hard to hear and keep an eye on them, but I can't just leave the door open or they would be all over the office. The solution? I stick a baby gate in the door so I can hear and see out, and they in turn cannot come in and destroy everything. Not that my office is anywhere near beig clean.
So over the course of the week I have managed to make about 20 new hair clips/barrets, 5 burp rags, and 1 receiving blanket. (sorry, no pictures) I have material cut for 5 more burp rags and 1 more blanket, so hopefully this weekend I'll have time to finish at least some of it. I'm not planning on it with tomorrow being my husbands birthday and Sunday being Easter.
I just hope by the end of these next 2 weeks I will have everything finished and ready for the Spring Fling. I have absolutely no idea what to expect.

business cards

I've been working on making sure I have everything together for the Spring Fling coming up in less than 3 weeks. I got some free business cards a few months back, but that was before I had my blog, or an e-mail address just for my "business". So I had to do a little revamping to them so that all my info is there without wasting the cards I already had.

I also made some of my own, just in case I run out of what I already had while at the Spring Fling.

 

I have 8 different photos on them. I think they turned out pretty cute :)

Sounds like there is going to be a lot of great stuff for sale, and some fun activities for the kids too! I told my husband he better plan on bringing the boys out in the morning. We'll see if he decided to be curagous and venture out with all 3 of them!

Food For Thought (the host for the Spring Fling) posted a little info on their website about the Spring Fling. Here is a link to their blog. As they post more information  I'll let you know.
They are soon going to be featuring different venders that will be there. I can't wait to learn about all the exciting products, and food, that I'll get to see!

tutu cute!

I've been working on tutus to sell at the Spring Fling coming up and I am very excited about the 3 I currently have finished.

 This one is zebra print on top, with hot pink underneath. The pink is slightly longer so that it hangs out just a little. Correct me if I'm wrong, but some little girl is going to look absolutely precious in this!

 What little girl doesn't need a fancy tutu to wear to the big game? This KU tutu is perfect for any Jayhawk fan!

 Let's not forget those Wildcats! Go K-State!

Currently I'm working on making a tutu in Shockers colors. I have to cheer on my Alma Mater!

stocking up

With only a little over a month left until the Spring Fling, I'm working on stocking up on things to sell. Yesterday I made a new set of burp rags, and put the finishing touches on a set I started about a month ago. Since I'm wanting to have a good stash for the craft fair I wont' be adding these items to my shop. After the Spring Fling is over, anything that I don't sell will be added. Hopefully that won't be much! Here are some pictures of the burp rags (we need a new name for these, burp rag sounds yucky, any suggestions?)

Spring Fling

I got word this weekend that my application for the Spring Fling has been accepted! I'm so excited to do my first craft fair! It's the first Saturday in May so I still have plenty of time to prepare.
I'll keep everyone posted on the details as it gets closer.
